Formation and ground preparation
Formation trimmed and proof rolled, soft spots excavated and replaced. Plate bearing and CBR testing carried out and recorded before construction proceeds.
Foul and surface water drainage
Foul, storm and combined drainage, precast manholes and inspection chambers, attenuation tanks, flow control chambers and SuDS features. Sewers constructed to adoptable standards where required.
Energy infrastructure civils
HV and LV cable trenching, duct banks and draw pits, HDPE ducting with fusion-jointed connections, marker tape and tiles, earthing trenches and backfill to the network operator's specification.
Sub-base and hardstanding
Type 1 granular sub-base placed and compacted in layers and tested to specification. Access roads, compound hardstanding, plot pads and piling mats.
Reinforced concrete foundations and slabs
Strip, pad and raft foundations, ground-bearing slabs, transformer and inverter bases, container plinths and bund walls. Formwork, reinforcement and concrete placed and finished to the specified tolerance.
Kerbing, edgings and highways
Kerbs, channels and edgings, estate roads and access roads. Section 278 and Section 38 highway works delivered to local authority requirements.
External works and finishes
Surfacing preparation, hard landscaping, footpaths, fencing foundations, topsoil and verges. The site handed over complete and ready for use.

BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM, SUBSTATION COMPOUND
Complete civils package on a grid-scale battery storage site
Civil engineering works from start to finish on a battery energy storage compound adjoining an existing substation, delivered alongside the electrical contractor's programme. Our teams covered every element of the civils scope, from compound formation through to the bases the battery units and transformers now sit on.

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT, CUSWORTH, DONCASTER
Surface water drainage with flow control
Storm drainage through a new housing development, including precast concrete manholes and hydrobrake flow control chambers on the outfall. Backfill compacted in 150mm layers with CBR testing recorded at each stage.

ROAD AND SEWER PACKAGE, DONCASTER
Sewer construction in rock and groundwater
Road and sewer works where excavation encountered bedrock and then groundwater close to invert level. Rock excavation and dewatering were managed within the programme, with 35 metres of sewer and two manholes installed in the first week.
